We are the Refugee Law Clinics Germany.
Welcome to the Refugee Law Clinics Germany
This is the website of the Refugee Law Clinics Deutschland e.V., the umbrella association of the German Refugee Law Clinics (RLCs). RLCs are offering legal advice by supervised students in the field of refugee and foreign law on a non-profit basis.
There are currently over 30 migration Law Clinics in Germany, most of which were founded in 2013 or later. After three years of networking efforts, the German RLCs in September 2016 decided to join forces and create a nationwide, non-profit umbrella association.
The public charity that has been set up for this purpose bears the name “Refugee Law Clinics Deutschland e.V.” It aims to support the German RLCs and improve their working conditions wherever possible, through i.a. advocacy and networking on the national and European level, the organization of RLC conferences, the elaboration and distribution of high quality training materials etc.
The umbrella association also organizes the annual networking conference of all German RLCs, which takes place every September in Weingarten. It furthermore represents the interests of the German RLCs on the national and international level and aims to build or maintains working relationships with relevant governmental and non-governmental actors. Moreover, we provide structural and functional support to our member associations.
